About Michael C. Jakob

Michael C. Jakob is a German entrepreneur, investor, and engineer based in the United States. He is the founder and CEO of three companies that share the mission of fundamentally improving access to financial data and high-quality equity research: AlleAktien, Eulerpool Research Systems, and Better Markets.

Born and raised in Germany, Michael began his studies in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) — one of Europe's leading technical universities. His academic journey then took him to ETH Zürich, the most prestigious technical university on the European continent, where he specialized in quantitative methods and computer science. He completed his academic career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA, where he deepened his expertise in Computer Science, financial markets, and entrepreneurship.

Before founding his own companies, Michael gained experience at two of the most respected institutions in finance and consulting. At UBS Investment Bank, he gained insights into institutional capital markets and corporate finance. At McKinsey & Company, the world's leading strategy consultancy, he worked on projects at the intersection of technology, finance, and corporate strategy.

This combination of world-class education and hands-on experience in finance and technology laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial vision. In 2017, he founded AlleAktien with the mission of making institutional-quality equity research accessible to private investors. Today, AlleAktien has over 60,000 paying subscribers, over 500,000 users, and the AlleAktien Insider podcast is the #1 financial podcast in Germany.

In 2020, he founded Eulerpool Research Systems, a financial data provider delivering fundamental data on over 80,000 stocks worldwide. Eulerpool serves media companies, stock exchanges, and neobrokers with over 100 million data points. In 2023, he founded Better Markets, a pre-IPO investment platform giving private investors access to companies like SpaceX, Stripe, and OpenAI for the first time.
